How to measure up for your Garage Roller Door

The Width - measure the width of your brick to brick opening. Use this to specify the roller door width you require.

The Height - measure the floor to the underside of the lintel. Use this to specify the roller door height you require.

Roller doors fit to the rear (inside) face of the opening and require:

A: Internal clearance 480mm minimum

B: Headroom clearance

Opening height up to 2135 mm = 420 mm

Opening height up to 2440 mm = 450 mm

Opening height up to 2740 mm = 480 mm

Opening height up to 3055 mm = 520 mm

250mm is minimum but door will be visible in opening.

C: Side Clearance

Single manual roller doors up to 3400 mm wide: + 75 mm on each side behind the opening.

Single electric roller doors up to 3400 mm wide: + 95 mm on the side that the motor will be fitted and 75 mm on the other side.

Double manual roller doors over 3400 mm wide: + 150 mm on each side behind the opening.

Double electric roller doors over 3400 mm wide: + 170 mm on the side that the motor will be fitted and 150 mm on the other side.
